Survey - Coming out as an atheist

Not all skeptics are atheists, of course. But there is huge overlap between the two groups.

If you are an atheist or otherwise nonreligious, take this academic survey on "coming out" as an atheist. It'll only take you five minutes, it might make you think, and you're contributing to research. Yay!

Salt Lake City Skeptics in the Pub - Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, December 17th, is the first Salt Lake City Skeptics in the Pub! I've got my fingers crossed, my rabbit's foot primed, my prayers directed to Zeus himself and I'm working my Law of Attraction mojo to make sure everything goes well!

We have, like, thirty people RSVPed, which is a huge turnout for the first time around.

I'd like to know what you would like to see in a skeptics group. If you are reading this, that means you! Please post in the comments and tell me a little about what you'd like to participate in, who you'd like to see, what your interests are, etc. Would you like laid-back house parties on particular issues? Drinking nights? Guest speakers? Lame contests with cool skeptical prizes (I have a few to give away on the 17th)?
